FEEL to HEAL
A 3-Month Emotional & Spiritual Path of Reconnecting Body, Mind, Heart, and Spirit on the Cancer Journey
led by fellow cancer journeyer, Dr. Liz Burkholder

About
Cancer invites us into one of the deepest initiations of the soul. It is a call to awaken, to release, and to remember who we truly are beneath the fear, pain, and uncertainty.

Feel to Heal is a 12 week virtual group healing program designed to support individuals on the cancer journey. Our work is to integrate all aspects of self: body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Together, we walk through the emotional and spiritual terrain of healing, guided by the science of mind-body medicine, and the power of emotional release, spiritual connection, and community.

Each week, we gather in sacred space to process a core emotion such as grief, anger, shame, or fear, and open into higher states of peace, joy, love, and freedom.
Through Go Within Hypno-Breathwork and other mind-body practices like meditation, emotional release practices, somatic movement, journaling, sharing our sacred stories of pain and beauty, reclaiming our exiled parts of self, and guided reflection, you’ll learn to move energy through your body, restore trust in your own innate healing wisdom, and reconnect with the part of you that has never been broken.

This is not about fighting cancer; it’s about unraveling its messages and healing from within.
It’s about shifting from survival mode to soul revival, transforming fear into faith, and pain into purpose.
Together, we remember that healing is not only physical. It is emotional, energetic, and deeply spiritual.
Together, we remember: You are the medicine.

We do practices that were studied in Dr. Kelly Turner's research around Radical Remissions
You will learn practices that nurture the emotional and spiritual foundations of healing. Dr. Burkholder incorporates the following mind-body practices into this program. These happen to be eight of the ten Radical Remission factors from Dr. Kelly Turner's research on cancer patients who had radical remissions.

This program honors and applies 8 of Dr. Kelly Turner’s 10 Radical Remission Factors.

Dr. Kelly A. Turner’s Radical Remission research identified 10 key healing factors that were common among people who experienced unexpected recoveries from cancer (and other serious illnesses). Her findings are based on analyzing over a thousand cases of remission across many cultures and healing approaches.

Dr. Turner found that these factors work synergistically, addressing body, mind, emotion, and spirit, to create the internal environment where healing can occur.

The Eight Principles We Move Through in this Program:

1. Taking Control of Your Health
Individuals who had radical remissions were ACTIVE participants in their healing through researching, making decisions, and trusting their intuition about which treatments and approaches to pursue.

2. Following Your Own Intuition
Individuals who had radical remissions described receiving inner guidance through dreams, meditation, prayer, or intuition that helped them make choices about treatment, relationships, or life direction.

3. Releasing Suppressed Emotions

Individuals who had radical remissions identified and processed long-held emotional pain, trauma, anger, grief, or resentment, often through therapy, energy work, or other expressive outlets such as art, dance, etc. There is much research that show there is a high correlation between repressed emotions and chronic disease, including cancer. Unfortunately, this is an area of health, both mental and physical health, that gets "missed" in all areas of health and wellness.
4. Increasing Positive Emotions
Individuals who had radical remissions cultivated joy, gratitude, love, forgiveness, laughter, and connection, which helped shift their physiology toward healing.
5. Embracing Social Support
Individuals who had radical remissions embraced social support from family, friends, support groups, or spiritual communities. Feeling loved and supported had measurable physical and emotional benefits.
6. Deepening Your Spiritual Connection
Regardless of religion, most survivors developed a deeper sense of spirituality and connection to something greater, often describing peace, surrender, or divine trust.
7. Having Strong Reasons for Living
Individuals who had radical remissions had a sense of purpose, something or someone worth living for, that anchored their healing journey and gave them motivation to keep going.

8. Increasing Physical Activity

Individuals who had radical remissions increased their physical activity beginning with gentle but consistent movement such as walking, yoga, tai chi, swimming, or dance, to circulate energy, boost immunity, and reconnect with their bodies.

THESE LAST 2 FACTORS ARE NOT COVERED IN DEPTH IN THIS PROGRAM.
However, we will discuss these principles.

9. Radically Changing Your Diet

Individuals who had radical remissions shifted toward a diet rich in whole, plant-based, organic foods and eliminated processed foods, sugar, dairy, meat, and refined grains. The focus was on supporting the body’s natural healing systems and reducing inflammation.
10. Using Herbs and Supplements

Individuals who had radical remissions supported their immune systems with specific herbs, vitamins, and supplements often customized with the help of integrative practitioners.
