FEEL to HEAL

12 Week Emotional & Spiritual Path of Reconnecting Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul on the Health (Crisis) Journey

led by Dr. Liz Burkholder

About

A health crisis such as cancer, and even other chronic or autoimmune diseases, can be an invitation into one of the deepest initiations of the soul. It can be a call to awaken, to release, and to remember who we truly are beneath the fear, pain, and uncertainty.

Feel to Heal is a 12 week virtual group program designed to support individuals on a health crisis journey. That health crisis journey could be cancer. It could be an autoimmune disease or other chronic disease. Our work is to unravel the deeper messages that the body is holding for us. Sometimes these messages include repressed emotions (grief, guilt, shame, anger), repressed parts of self (voice, power, light), inability to find uplifting emotions or experiences (joy, fun, laughter, peace), unprocessed traumatic events, or deeply woven survival programs and patterns within our body, nervous system, and psyche.

In Feel to Heal, we work to re-integrate all aspects of self: body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Together, we walk through the emotional and spiritual terrain of healing, guided by the science of mind-body medicine, and the power of emotional release, spiritual connection, and community.

There is so much research that shows that emotions are highly tied to physical health and that repressed emotions contribute to chronic diseases, including autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Each week, we gather in sacred space to process core emotions such as grief, anger, shame, or fear, and open into higher states of peace, joy, love, and freedom.

Through Go Within Hypno-Breathwork and other mind-body practices like meditation, emotional release practices, somatic movement, journaling, sharing our sacred stories of pain and beauty, reclaiming our exiled parts of self, and guided reflection, you’ll learn to move energy through your body, restore trust in your own innate healing wisdom, and reconnect with the part of you that has never been broken.

This is not about fighting our body or the diagnosis or the cancer; it’s about unraveling their messages and healing from within.

It’s about shifting from survival mode to soul revival, transforming fear into faith, and pain into purpose.

Together, we remember that healing is not only physical. It is emotional, energetic, and deeply spiritual.
Together, we remember: You are the medicine.

We incorporate practices that were studied in Dr. Kelly Turner's research on patients with
Radical Remissions

We will learn and incorporate practices that nurture the emotional and spiritual foundations of healing. Dr. Burkholder incorporates the following mind-body practices into this program. These happen to be the ten Radical Remission factors from Dr. Kelly Turner's research on cancer patients who had radical remissions.

This program aligns with and applies all 10 of Dr. Kelly Turner’s 10 Radical Remission Factors.

Dr. Kelly A. Turner’s Radical Remission research identified 10 key healing factors that were common among people who experienced unexpected recoveries from cancer (and other serious illnesses). Her findings are based on analyzing over a thousand cases of remission across many cultures and healing approaches.

Dr. Turner found that these factors work synergistically, addressing body, mind, emotion, and spirit, to create the internal environment where healing can occur.

The Ten Principles We Move Through in this Program:

1. Taking Control of Your Health
Individuals who had radical remissions were ACTIVE participants in their healing through researching, making decisions, and trusting their intuition about which treatments and approaches to pursue.

2. Following Your Own Intuition

Individuals who had radical remissions described receiving inner guidance through dreams, meditation, prayer, or intuition that helped them make choices about treatment, relationships, or life direction.

3. Releasing Suppressed Emotions

Individuals who had radical remissions identified and processed long-held emotional pain, trauma, anger, grief, or resentment, often through therapy, energy work, or other expressive outlets such as art, dance, etc. There is much research that shows there is a high correlation between repressed emotions and chronic diseases, including cancer. Unfortunately, this is an area of healing that gets "missed" in all areas of health and wellness, which mainly focus only on physical and/or mental health.

4. Increasing Positive Emotions

Individuals who had radical remissions cultivated joy, gratitude, love, forgiveness, laughter, and connection, which helped shift their physiology toward healing.

5. Embracing Social Support
Individuals who had radical remissions embraced social support from family, friends, support groups, or spiritual communities. Feeling loved and supported had measurable physical and emotional benefits.

6. Deepening Your Spiritual Connection

Regardless of religion, most survivors developed a deeper sense of spirituality and connection to something greater, often describing peace, surrender, or divine trust.

7. Having Strong Reasons for Living

Individuals who had radical remissions had a sense of purpose, something or someone worth living for, that anchored their healing journey and gave them motivation to keep going.

8. Increasing Physical Activity

Individuals who had radical remissions increased their physical activity beginning with gentle but consistent movement such as walking, yoga, tai chi, swimming, or dance, to circulate energy, boost immunity, and reconnect with their bodies.

THESE LAST 2 FACTORS ARE NOT COVERED IN DEPTH IN THIS PROGRAM. However, we will discuss these principles. Guest teacher, Zahrah Sita (cancer recoverer), will be teaching these sessions in her Eat to Beat Cancer classes within the program.

9. Radically Changing Your Diet

Individuals who had radical remissions shifted toward a diet rich in whole, plant-based, organic foods and eliminated processed foods, sugar, dairy, meat, and refined grains. The focus was on supporting the body’s natural healing systems and reducing inflammation.

10. Using Herbs and Supplements

Individuals who had radical remissions supported their immune systems with specific herbs, vitamins, and supplements often customized with the help of integrative practitioners.

PLEASE NOTE: Many of my longer programs are $2k and up due to the level of time, energy, and expertise I pour into these containers, as well as the level of transformation that is obtained from this work that gets to the root, not to mention how much I have poured into my own training, education, healing, and experience. However, because of the already very strained and sensitive experience of having and healing cancer and other health issues, including additional financial strain, I am offering this deeply personal program at a very low rate as a love offering and as a contribution to humanity.

Thank you for joining this sacred work.

Your Main Facilitator:
Dr. Burkholder

Dr. Liz Burkholder is a doctor of mind body medicine and a holistic nurse practitioner. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2024 and is on a journey to heal herself from the inside out and to share her journey with those who resonate with it.

MY STORY

I have been on a most miraculous and holy journey over the last year and a half (well my whole life, but that’s another story). This is what I am calling my "3rd Awakening." On 6/14/24 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I chose to not do any conventional treatment (surgery, chemo, radiation) at the time. I knew in my heart that my particular journey was going to be different. With the work that I do, I know that everything is energy and that energy can always change form, even one of the densest energies that can show up in the human body.

I knew that I had to "go within" and see what energy this cancer was holding within my body. I also knew it was a messenger and that my work was to unravel the messages. And so I did that. And I dove deeper within myself than I ever have before.

On 11/21/25, I had follow up scans. The main mass has gotten notably smaller (almost 50% smaller!) and they couldn’t find the smaller lesions that were there last year.

The radiologist was shocked and kept looking and looking for the smaller lesions and re-measuring the main mass.

She asked me, “Wait, what are you doing or taking again?”
